About
MonoTrading is independent market research by Luis Wong: a weekly deep dive and Watchlist Notes on a short list of US stocks.
Who writes it
I'm Luis Wong. I spent 16 years building data platforms, much of it in finance and banking. MonoTrading is what that work looks like when it's pointed at my own watchlist: the same data, checked the same way, written up in plain language.
How it works
The Mono Take is a weekly email on Substack: one stock in depth, the watchlist names sitting near their entry zones, and the macro events that can move everything.
Watchlist Notes are published here twice a week (Monday and Thursday) after the morning email: one featured stock from the watchlist, where it trades against its entry zone, the levels that matter, upcoming earnings and the macro calendar.
I test the signals before I use them, and I say when the evidence is thin.
Data sources
- SEC filings (insider Form 4 trades, 13F holdings)
- FINRA short interest
- Options chains (implied moves and volatility)
- Congressional trading disclosures
- Daily prices and company fundamentals
